MI RETREAT COST of $549 early bird price… COVERS Housing, entire retreat activities (breakfast/brunch/snacks) Dinners not included but together if desired- we love all hanging out at the inexpensive options downtown! Local Rates can apply. (spots are limited!). This is an invite only retreat so please reach out if you are interested.
Dinners are conveniently right in town and we can enjoy lunch and dinner together at a variety of choices within walking distance.. Chinese, pizza place, ice cream, etc. A grocery store is also walking distance for those with dietary restrictions and beautiful victorian home is equipped with it's own kitchen.

Lake City Lights is a non-profit ministry under Nashville's Artists in Christian Testimony "ACT" and we hold Christian Retreats for songwriters who desire to want to make amazing music together. It's for those committed to follow God's calling on their lives as a songwriter. We also have mentorship and are starting a few new things with recording. Whether you are a seasoned songwriter or just starting out, you will completely enjoy these days of being poured into ..and pouring yourself into the craft of songwriting in an encouraging environment.There's nothing like being with like-minded writers creating together and learning from each other! We love the 2 Timothy 2 concept and encourage different ages at our retreats (18+)and each retreat has at least 1 pastor attending.. usually a few plus several worship leaders.

Do you want to write with some experienced writers, producers and crazy talented artists looking to record? How about worshipping with a bunch of Jesus-freaks and sharing with like-minded souls? You have found your "fast-family" here. .. and the songs God brings .. wow..some of these songs have reached the ears of A&R's of Major Labels( and will continue to have that opportunity)..but what does that matter when God is in it? Others are already being recorded, shared in churches, shared at live events, performed by choirs and bands, and most importantly reaching others! God knows where they are supposed to go! He bears the fruit .. we just come to listen to Him and co-write in great groups... and we plan to sing.. special announcements coming! Each retreater can plan to leave the retreat with at least 3-4 songs written with songwriters that write in some of the best in Nashville. Some of your retreaters Live/work there! Did you know that most songwriters will tell you the #1 most impactful thing on their journey was a songwriting retreat? no matter your genre or style, age or experience. Writers will be able to choose what genres they'd like to write in in their rooms but generally they decide on worship, ccm, singer-songwriter.
Writers in the past MI retreat wrote Worship Music for their churches and CCM, Christian pop, Christian R&B, even a few wanted to write Christian Hip Hop! Several of the songs written at Lake City Lights retreat are being produced already! Writers keep all rights to their music and will leave the retreat with several great songs they got to write with a group of great friends, and great contacts for future writes. All retreaters will also have the opportunity to have their releases written at the event Promoted by Lake City Lights in the future. Evenings will be song sharing,co-writes,relaxing,worship, and sometimes demo-making. The family atmosphere is amazing and so much fun!
